Your question was: “How do you acquire a gift like this?”But all women have this gift, men do too sometimes, just not as often, but women have this innate gift; and what you have to do is develop it. How many times have I heard a mother say she had a premonition about what was happening to one of her children at a specific time; or when the telephone rings, they instinctively know who is calling them; and how often does it happen that women get that feeling that something good is about to happen and perhaps they also get that same feeling about the difficult situations or misfortunes that come along in life.

So everyone in the world has this gift. When I was a child I had this gift but I thought it was something that everybody had, so I wasn’t surprised when I had clairvoyant flashes.It was only after several years that I finally understood that I was different because I realised I wasn’t like other people and they made me see there was something in me that was more highly developed than it is in others. So, I started to have these visions, and little by little I became less worried about having these visions that actually used to frighten me when I was very young.

The gift of clairvoyance can cause upset in your life. I had a lot of clients, and many friends too, who wanted to develop this gift but they never really mastered it properly, because it really does require a great deal of self-discipline, you have to study, and have a lot of self-confidence, you have to accept the intrusion of this gift into your life, and it can turn things upside down.  Every single one of us can decide to take instruction.

It is through instruction that you can acquire and master this sometimes rather overpowering gift. Everybody will find their master when they are ready to do so, whether its through philosophy, religion, astrology, dowsing, all methods are equally valid, so long as they have a profound resonance with your personality. I see people who have an extraordinary ability in one sort of divination and not in another. That’s how I myself started with the gift, then I went on to take very rigorous studies in astrology, sociology and psychoanalysis, I became interested in medicine, sociology and politics, so it’s a bit of everything.

I think you have to know a little about everything before you can start giving consultations, consultations I’ve never wanted to give, it was the media that launched me, and at the start it was against my will. I found it so embarrassing to charge money, that for a whole year I saw around thirty people a day and never asked for a single penny, because it seemed to me that this ability I had was a gift and I didn’t want to exploit it,
it was only later of course that I became professional.

Maria Duval studied for ten years at an esoteric school, that didn’t last because I’m Italian,  so you could say atavism impelled me further in the Greco-Latin direction. I’ve spent the whole of my life studying,  and working my way through philosophies, through spiritualities, seeing, realising, trying, proving, living either overseas or in France; I tried to cultivate myself to the limits of my capabilities,  and then I could sit back and assess it all, and use all the knowledge I had acquired in my writing, so that I could help people.

As soon as you do something with passion, you’re on the right track,  you’re on the right track if you like doing something, but you have to do it with passion. There was a woman you came for a consultation with me once every year, she wore a disguise so I wouldn’t recognise her,  of course I did recognise her, but I played along with her,  her husband had died six years previously, she always came with the same list of women, of people, she wanted to know if her deceased husband had cheated on her.  So I looked at the list, knowing she was suffering dreadfully,  and of course no-one on the list had had any particular relationship with her husband.  So she went on trying, every year, to trap me, but I was vigilant.

There are some things I see that I can’t tell, and that it wouldn’t be right to say.  Businessmen for example, say to me:  “can you tell me when I’m going to die because I want to set all my affairs in order”.

Firstly, that is of course very difficult to see;  I spent five years studying all the factors that cause death, I went as far as possible with it,  I’m fascinated by death, so when a client asks me when he’s going to die. Only God knows, these are things I don’t allow myself to reveal.

There are things you can’t say, of course. When a person comes to see me for a consultation, they are in a rather vulnerable state,  so you have to be very careful what you say to them.  I’m against fortune tellers

who tell them their husband has a mistress, when what he’s really doing is working extra hours to improvethe daily life of his family. I’m absolutely against this type of clairvoyance and these low-level charlatans.

I prefer, during a consultation, to open up the possibility of a different path. I don’t deal out the first truths, I give a range of possible options, and the person chooses. My role is to receive flash inspirations, fractions of lives.  People very often say to me: “oh, don’t you see whole lives?”

No I don’t see whole lives; I see scenes, footage, as if from a film, but I don’t see the whole film.  That’s it, and I do it all with passion, and I hope a great deal of professionalism, because I love people.

Maria Duval says it’s very easy for her and anyone could do it, with a little training.

I’ve chalked up many successes, and a few failures, of course, but I can prove it, and I’ve got some very interesting testimonies on that subject. For example, once I set off in a helicopter, to try to find a person who had been missing for 5 days. Ten minutes after take-off, although nobody would believe me, we had found the missing person. It was a pilot who had come down in his single-seater airplane,
and all the search parties, over a four-day period, using sniffer dogs, all the crowds of people, had come up with nothing.

His daughter came to see me, and in fifteen minutes I had identified the latitude and the longitude, of the place where he was, and there they found him, half dead, but alive. I have found many people, some of them famous, others less so, for example, the great businessman Schiller, Mr Bitand who had been murdered and left in a suitcase. I was also involved in one of the biggest criminal cases the world has ever known, the family came to see, to ask whether he was still a prisoner of the Russians, or if he had managed to escape, I had to tell the Wallenberg family that he had died of a heart attack, as a result of being tortured.

I have sometimes searched desperately for children, Some of them I’ve found, others not, and that was a terrible thing for me, it caused me a lot of grief and pain, and that pain was a lot worse when I had to tell the parents that the child wouldn’t be found, that the missing child was definitely either dead of gone forever. That was a truly terrible thing. So I stopped looking for missing children, although the police still often came to me, requesting my help, and I put all my heart and soul into assisting them, to help people in immense pain.

Well, there it is. I’ve also looking for treasure, I have to admit. That’s how I found the treasure of Saint-Tropez, jars full of gold!!!! And I can tell, in confidence, that no-one gave me a single coin in thanks! But that doesn’t matter! I successfully located a dog belonging to Brigitte Bardot, I’ve found not less famous cats, and I’ve even found a donkey that had got lost…

You see, there are no limits on what you can find using the pendulum pas.

Maria Duval was asked what happened in a consultation?

The person comes in, someone I’ve never met before in my life, and they tell me their name, whatever name they want to use, then, suddenly, a clairvoyant flash comes to me, and I know why that person has come to see me, the most important thing on their mind, and then, to put it some way, the
Maria Duval no longer exists, but I see that person, looking down from up on high, I see that woman, it never ceases to amaze me, because in a conscious state I could never involve myself in someone’s life in that way or have flash insights into the future or past of a person.

So it’s almost like a yoga exercise, I erase myself completely, to make myself available, and to make yourself available, you need to have a lot of love for the person who has come to see you, and I have tried, for the whole of my life, to give a lot of love to the people who have placed their trust in me.

So, this is what happens during a Maria Duval consultation:

Sometimes I want to know something about the person’s energy levels.

So, the person strikes the bowl, and depending on the sound I hear, I know what point they are in their life. I have my own way of tuning in. For example, I ask them to strike it three times. There, I hear a weakness, then the second sound is cut off short, and with the third strike, there is an evolution. Then it’s easy enough to tell the person that they are going through a difficult time, and that they can come out the other side, because the third sound is longer, and clearer.

What I do varies from person to person, because some people are fans of one particular type of tarot,
while other people prefer other cards, there are magic tarots, and there are tarots that are right for a particular person, I have some tarots that are easy, very easy, to read, and I have some tarots that I prefer, because they have never lied to me, my Belline tarot cards, so I draw the tarot cards for the person, and then I read them.

Let Maria Duval give you an example, of a very, very simple tarot card reading.

A person comes to see me, they pick a tarot card with their left hand, and well, that tarot card says to me: « you are a lonely woman ». I go into more depth afterwards, but the first tarot card has already told me. If it’s a men: «you are going to have a problem with a woman, or the woman in your life is going to present you with a problem.» But a problem isn’t necessarily something that’s impossible to resolve. Then, for people who are rather more intellectual, who are more cerebral, shall we say, or who are seeking a certain intellectualism, I have them do the ink stains. You write your question here, you don’t show me, then you make the ink stains, you do it thirteen times…

That’s it, then I focus on the question asked, I fold my piece of paper in half and I ask the person to reveal their question. It’s a very pretty picture, and you can see it’s divided into sections, and there are very good bits and bits that are not so good.

That’s how Maria Duval interprets it.

Then I concentrate, I no longer exist, I am nothing. I am available, and I concentrate and the person asks me a question. Then I see the answer, one answer or two answers, or no answer. It’s very frustrating when an answer doesn’t come. If that happens, I try a different method, the ball perhaps,
the crystal ball, which requires an enormous amount of concentration.

I should place a white cloth…it requires incredible concentration, I usually wear a black veil. But if I haven’t found any answers using the other methods, I look into the crystal ball, I concentrate, I focus on the ball, and I try to see a picture, like in a film, sequences of life, but it take up a lot of energy.

I don’t use the crystal ball very often.

Maria Duval says that very often people want me to tell them the winning lottery numbers and the days they should play them. Of course, there are numbers that are much luckier for you than others
and then, everyone has their favourite numbers. And using astrology it’s possible to know whether you’re in a lucky or unlucky period. If you’re in a lucky period, of course you should play. If you don’t play you obviously can’t win.

I’ve had a lifetime now, of giving consultations because I started very young and all the people I’ve met have given me a very broad understanding of people, I’ve seen presidents, both the well-known and the less well-known, ministers, dukes…I’ve met two princesses and their problems are pretty much the same as the ordinary woman in the street.

What do people ask me about? Love, particularly the women, the men, for their part, business, work…

And although the scale may be different, the very powerful have pretty much the same problems as ordinary people. So, you see, I look forward at the future that awaits each of my clients with joy, with the same love, and the same professionalism. And it was me who discovered the Ourasie horse!

Perhaps you don’t remember, it was a very long time ago; the horse had to be divided between a couple who were divorcing, and I gave them my advice, which turned out to be very good advice,
because Ourasie has become one of the most mythical of race horses.

I have led a very rich life, I’ve even worked for two Avenue Matignon art galleries scouting for talented young artists, it was something I was passionate about. Later on, I worked in a very large bank, with thirty five branches, picking the right executives for the job. Of course, they didn’t take my advice just like that, They took it in the context of other tests they carried out, but I did perform graphological, morphological and astrological tests.

people are really surprised when you have to time a film release to coincide with a full moon, why on a full moon? Because when there’s a full moon people are much more likely to go out than during other lunar phases.

Sometimes artistes have also had to change their names, I had to change the names of artists, or young performers when they were starting out, to establish alignment with the Kabbala, they’d get a much stronger name, much powerful, then they would have much more chance of succeeding.

I worked in live radio for seven years, on three different radio stations, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Sunday programme with the biggest, I used to be in pieces before we went on air because it was a live show, and I was incredibly successful, because for seven years, listeners used to call in, and give me a date of birth, in just a few seconds I would calculate their astrological chart

to the very best of my abilities, and it annoyed me that he should tell me I was wrong, and suddenly that triggered a clairvoyant vision. I had a clairvoyant vision And I lost all my usual reserve, and I said to that man:

“Sir, you are telling me I don’t know what I talking about yet I see that your son took a revolver from the drawer of your desk and committed suicide.”

And, well, no-one contradicted me again after that, I was exhausted, because the vision was very strong, and that person was deeply affected. He was a NASA researcher. Some time ago now
I used to do exorcisms, but exorcisms are something that caused me a lot of trouble. I have medical certificates that I could show you…

I did an exorcism for a young woman and I ended up with third degree burns on my without there having been any fire in the room I was in. I have done several exorcisms, but I don’t do them any more, because it’s very difficult, and very special.

I saw something extraordinary. At the start of my life, I was in MILLY LA FORET, where Jean Cocteau had a house, and I got to meet that artiste who had amazing hands, and that was the first time
that I read someone’s hand. He was delighted, to the point that he gave me a gift, a book that he dedicated to me.

Ah, the talismans! Maria Duval thinks talismans are important in her scope of work..

You know, a talisman is a very important thing to have in life, the Maria Duval talisman was given to me by my uncle, who was a priest. Well, priests don’t generally believe so much in talismans, but he had one that really worked very well, he cured people, he spread a lot of good around him, and when I turned seventeen, before he died, he called me to him and gave me permission to use this talisman, a talisman that has done so much good, throughout the life of each of us.

You might say that perhaps I should trust in it, believe in it, and belief is what helps you along the path to progress, but there are magical representations, so carrying talisman with you is an advantage, I can tell you.

People very often ask Maria Duval how she can work by correspondence, and time and time again people say to me: listen, there’s no way you can know, no way you can respond to a very specific problem, of a person you don’t know, who sends you a letter.

So how?

It’s very simple, it’s the same as when someone comes to see me at my office. First of all I look at your handwriting, then I take the date of birth, and don’t doubt that the major contours of a life are written with the date of birth. There’s a knack I have, I can see through what people say, read between the lines, if you like. I draw on my intuition, and I very often find the solutions to problems, even though people aren’t always truthful in their letters.
